Teresa Wong branch: main

Teresa Wong

I like things that learn, things that fly, and things you can sing along to.

GitHub the name is my flow-matching project: noise → data, live

About

Teresa is currently a first-year at MIT, studying AI and math. She is working on avionics and controls for the MIT Rocket Team. Next, she wants to build generative models and physical AI.

Sept 2026 – now · avionics and controls

Building Asteria, a nitrous/IPA liquid-fueled propulsive lander for the Collegiate Propulsive Lander Challenge, targeting a tethered hover this year, a milestone no university team has yet reached.

  • Characterizing IMUs, altimeters and magnetometers to select the lander’s state-estimation sensor suite
  • Designing KiCad PCBs for Papyrus v2, a modular avionics system that actuates solenoid and servo throttle valves and logs pressure data for Osiris engine tests, with fail-safe shutdown on power or radio loss
  • Developing FreeRTOS-based flight firmware in C on STM32 for Sphinx, an electric hopper testbed that validates the lander’s guidance and control before the liquid vehicle flies

VEX Robotics

2024 – 2025 · National Finalist
  • Designed and built the competition robot end to end: mechanical structure, pneumatic systems, and circuit design and wiring
  • Programmed autonomous routines in Arduino, integrating sensor feedback and tuning PID loops for precise motor control
